Can the treatment take mercury out of an oil?
The Department of Drug Science and Technology of the Università di Torino measured the mercury in six oils, by anodic stripping voltammetry, before and after treatment. In an animal supplement the concentration fell from 0.69 to 0.20 mg/kg, that is minus 70%, and after a second treatment it fell below the limit of quantification.

In three of the four samples the mercury was already below the method's limit of quantification, 0.03 mg/kg. The only exception, a sample of linseed oil, at 0.19 mg/kg.
